Vegetarian acid-resistant (enteric) capsules are coated with a special, polymer-free, all-vegetarian film that protects them from gastric acid upon consumption. This allows the capsules to bypass the strong acids of the stomach, instead releasing the contents in the small intestines,  where the PH level (approx 7), triggers the decomposition of the capsule in an average transit time of 45-55 minutes. Acid-resistant (enteric) vegetarian capsules have been designed and tested in pharaceutical labs. All capsules are GMO-free, hypoallergenic, free of preservatives, sodium lauryl sulfates, ethylene oxide or sulfites. Capsules come assembled.
